(Un)Forgotten News

December 8th - Thanks to everyone who stopped by and vistied me at the One of a Kind Show! It was a great show and we had a good time as usual. I’m going to be placing my work for sale up on Etsy this week, so please stop on by and consider a holiday purchase. Keep checking back as I will be adding things all week. I will be shipping until December 20th via priority mail so please place your order before then. After the new year I plan on working on some jewelry designs as well as new books.

November 13th - Hello everyone! I’m in the proccess of updating the site. For now I’m going to keep my available work on sale at Etsy because I don’t have the time to update everything in more then one place. If you’re looking for something to buy for the holidays check out my Etsy Shop. I’ve updated with 30+ new items in the past month, and will be adding a few every other day or so. I’ve been hard at work for my upcoming show at the One of a Kind Show in Chicago. I have free passes for this show, so if you’d like some please drop me an email with One of a Kind Show in the subject line. I’m more then happy to share them. Come check me out there in December (4th-7th) at the Merchandise Mart Booth 8-8045.

December 23rd - This is Greg typing from rainy, windy Philadelphia…Debb wanted me to put in a quick note that we’re sorry the site’s a bit bare at the moment. When we get back to Chicago, we’ll put up the pictures of her current work. Merry Christmas!

December 20th - Hope everyone is not too stressed out from the holiday rush! The last day I can take holiday orders is today Thurs 12/20, so if you’re interested in a last minute gift check out the Etsy Shop. If you’re local to Chicago priority is still an option, but I can also ship express mail to other locations too… just email me for an invoice. All orders have to be made and paid by midnight tonight 12/20 as I won’t be able to resume shipping until Dec 29th if your order comes in after that. I hope everyone has a good holiday! I should have some Valentine Journals on the way shortly.

December 11th - Whew! Am I exhausted or what? The One of a Kind show this past weekend went fabulously! So well in fact we will likely be doing it again next year, and this time around I’ll have much more time to plan. I’d like include what I have left sometime this week, but I have to finish up a few custom orders first to insure they will get there for the holidays. If you purchase something as a gift please be sure to order by this Friday the 14th, because after that your fate is upto the postal gods. I do have more work listed on Etsy then is here at the moment, (mostly copper books) so take a look over there until I can list more things here. There will be switchplates, ornaments, booklaces, and assemblage books coming soon. Thanks to everyone who visted me at the show I really enjoyed talking to you guys!

November 29th - Debb’s freakin’ busy, so I’m writing this up for her: after the DIY show, she got a last-minute invite to the One of a Kind Show at Merchandise Mart, so now, she’s working fast and furious for that. And I’ve offered up my services as helper monkey, so I’m getting swept up into the whirlwind (but she’s still letting me get some video game time in).
If you’d like to see her at the show, she’s in on the southwest side Booth 8-9052A (the aisle along the wall by the gourmet and fine art galleries). We have a few free passes (normally admission is $10), so if you happen to read this and send me mail before Dec. 4, I can mail you a pass for you and a guest. (send to greg (@) galcik (d) com.) So come visit Debb at her biggest show to date.

November 19th - Hi everyone! I apologize that the store is currently so bare. This past weekend was the DIY show in Chicago and it went fabulous. I love DIY! In fact it went a little TOO well, we sold more books at that show then ever before, and well my stock is pretty small at the moment. Most of what I have at the moment is up at Etsy and the copper sale is still going on for the holidays. When things slow down I’ll add more stock here. I have a small show next weekend another version of Crafted in Wrigleyville (Chicago) so please stop by and see me then if you’re in town. I will be working fast and furious all week long for that show and should have some good new ones that are already in the works. If you want to order anything custom before Christmas email me asap. Please consider buying handmade goods for the holidays. There are some really great artists over at Etsy go take a look!

November 5th - Time flys and it’s November. Wow! Our show this weekend went fairly good despite a low turn-out of overall traffic. I’ve been listing more of my new items on Etsy this week and will contine to add things throughout this month. I have the copper journals on sale there right now, so if you’ve wanted one now is the time for a great deal. I’m still waiting for a a shipment of switchplates, so we are really low on those for the time being. I do have new little copper charms though. I have another show in less then 2 weeks, so I need to get back to work to re-stock. Copper prices have increased quite a bit, so after the holidays the copper journals will likely increase in price. Just a little FYI. See you at the DIY show on November 17th!

October 25th - I took a long break over the spring and summer to work on my studio space, but I’ve been working fast and furious on new stock which I haven’t yet had time to list yet. Until then you can visit me at Crafted - Handmade Market of Exquisite and Curious Things on November 4th in Palentine IL or in the city of Chicago at The DIY Trunk Show on November 17th. I’ve also listed a few SALE items on Etsy for the time being so if you want a super deal check there!

December 12th - Renegade has come and gone and we had a blast as usual. I met some great vendors and customers there. I’ve posted 6 new journals including xray journals! I probably won’t be adding any more until after the new year. Switchplate stock is low at the moment as they were popular at my shows, so I have some on order including double switchplates so look for those in the coming year. Remember to get your holiday orders in by the 18th for on-time delivery! Hope everyone is having fun getting geared up for the holidays!

Our newest creations are etched switchplates that make a wonderful accent to your home decor. There aren't too many on the site at the moment, but they were a great hit at out last show, so expect more in the future.
